    What Happened

    We were given 3 nights here for our honeymoon by my Brother. As I had heard so much about the Westin's customer service, and hospitality, I expected we would be treated well for our honeymoon. We were treated with indifference, and the only welcoming we received, was the offer to use the hot tub and pool area after hours. Although this might have been a benefit were I still 20, at my age I prefer to sleep at night. I had anticipated that there might be some champagne, or SOMETHING to congratulate us. This was not the case. When we woke in the morning, instead of a glorious mountain view, we looked out on train tracks, cinders, a parking lot, a bus stop, the highway (and all of it's headlights at night), and all the rooftop air conditioning stacks of the condo units surrounding the hotel. Not at all what one might hope for in a "Suite" room. We saw the view out of the other side of the hotel, and it looked like SWITZERLAND! Tall peaks, mountain valleys, running river, PERFECT! If I could just rate the hotel as an empty building, it has a wonderful feeling, beautiful to look at. The art and architecture is stunning. It's just that I felt that there were too many guests for the staff to care about any one guest in particular. I felt just one of the masses and not a special guest on my one and only honeymoon. I want to feel like I am at least recognized. I could have been anyone with a working knowledge of the hotel and traipsed right in off the street for all the front desk knew. All I would have had to do was smile and nod, and I could have been breaking into rooms in just a few minutes. I felt more greeted by a guy washing windows at 5am than I did by the guest services. Calling down to the desk was like calling for customer service at Cricket.. God only knew who I would get, and if they could help me at all, or would they yet again, tell me to call back. I got good service once, and iffy the rest. There is also the matter of a $22.48 charge per day that is NOT part of the room rate, and the fact that the ONLY option for parking is $30 for self-park, or $20 for valet! This is outrageous! Give someone another option? I guess that for what was spent, the room was beautiful and everything else was just meh. From the trucker hotel view to the lack of attention of our celebration it just was NOT the memory I want to carry with me of my honeymoon. We certainly will have no plans of ever returning.

I won't dramatize you with the details of the misfortunes that caused us the need to use a resource like crowdtilt in this manner but it is working, and I couldn't wait to share it with all my influencers here on GRI.PE!     Regardless, I could not be more thankful to the staff who worked over a day and dealt with many texts on personal time to get the details of ours correct and online. We now have the tiniest amount of breathing room and the thought that our guests will have food and drink!

    What Happened

    Jim Pittenger is a great man, with awesome food, and now a restaurant to add to his carts. This man makes his sausages by hand, from hand trimmed and cut meat. They are lovingly smoked and cured, and then served to a well-knowing and adoring fan base from all walks of life. It is hard to make enemies with free grilled onions and hot cream cheese!

    My CHEER today is to the staff of the Larimer St location. My fiancée and I, along with a group of others were meeting there for dinner before a baseball game. We left the establishment and walked less than 5 feet when she fell over a service box secured to the sidewalk in front of a construction site. Not the type of thing you would expect to be there, and because of the crowd, was obscured by bodies. She scraped all the skin off her knee and bruised it quite badly. The staff saw what happened and rushed to our aid. One brought ice and the other offered water and support. They really were kind in tending to our trauma from this unexpected block on the sidewalk.

    What Happened

    I suspected it wasn't going to go well when after walking into a seemingly empty store, a woman still finishing a face full of food comes out from the back. Although it is 11:30, I don't really want to go into a tuxedo shop and smell food, or see you chewing your food like it were a lump of cud.

    I am with my fiancee and my soon-to-be step daughter. I tell you we are getting married, and would like to match a color with a shade from David's Bridal.

    This is my first time in a tuxedo rental store. I OWN a tux, have purchaced 2 in my life, plus plenty of suits. I had no idea that all rentals come from one warehouse that ALL shops share. You did not tell me, nor did you give me a chance to ask.

    I said I was "Here to try on tuxedos". Doesn't seem at all unreasonable to me. Brides do it. I do it if I am BUYING... How was I to know?

    You said "Well, you can't do that." "You have to register all your groomsmen with us, and once we have sizes, we can get UP TO TWO samples for you..."

    "Can't I just try on something? See how it looks?"

    "NO, Sir. WE don't work like that. Until you register ALL your Groomsmen with us..."

    "Yeah, I got that the first time."

    At this moment, a manager comes from the back to see what is happening. (Wait, if YOU were here, why did you let this underling greet me with a mouth full of gristle? Not impressed with the customer service at all..) But you didn't save this trainwreck at all... didn't even lift a finger to help either of us. Great job managing. Go back into the 'stockroom' and return to twittering.

    I eventually learn from the patient guidance of the owner of http://www.yelp.com/bi... that this is how all rentals work. The owner was gracious and took the time to make sure we understood how it works, and what to expect. El Guapo is a locally owned company, and not the same chain that bought up Mr Neat's. (Another locally-owned company until they were bought out by Al's) Goodbye obnoxious parking in Cherry Creek North, and hello easy-peasy parking on 38th. Goodbye 'Creeker' 'tude, which I promise you I can live without, and hello west-side old-school graciousness and service which I embrace. Guess who got my business? I hope that Al's either treats YOU better, or that El Guapo gets your business as well.

    What Happened

    Best looking grocery store I've seen in some time! The deli had items that looked fresh and delicious. The seafood was amazingly fresh, with lots of selection. They have an in-store liquor store that is far superior to many 'boutique' stores in the area.

    Instead of scraping and building, King Soopers decided to go with an existing structure. The building chosen was renovated and restored after sitting vacant for years. A nice addition to the community, and an eyesore eliminated!

    What Happened

    I took two 'tweens in on a Sunday for some art time.The staff was INCREDIBLE! They took all the time nec for these opposite and picky girls to get started fusing glass. The trivets we made are beautiful, and will make great gifts for the Gramms. Even I had a blast, and I'm not an artistic kind of guy, LOL! I would suggest this as a perfect bad-weather day activity for anyone, but esp the 10-90 crowd...

    What Happened

    We moved into one of their properties and we couldn't even fully move in for 2+ weeks because the refrigerator was broken. Inside was a layer of fish jelly stuff on the bottom that sat in a broken non-cooling fridge for a year. It was disgusting. There were water stains in the carpet where a pipe had broken and no discovered for a long period of time. They didn't replace the walls that had had water run down and in them, they just laid drywall over the top. We lived in that property for nearly 4 years. During that time, we dealt with ant infestations, mold, and collapsing floor boards. At one point we went over 6 months missing a floor board in my childs room. It was carpet and then open space of about 4 ft below. We had to threaten legal action to get it repaired. We had to run a heater in the laundry area to keep the mold at bay enough to keep the children from getting sick. We had rotted out bathroom floor for over a year before they repaired it. Then 6 months later it had to be fixed again because the owner's (not property management) grandson did the work and did it badly. There was mold, mice, and rats and they were slow to deal with it, if it was dealt with at all.

    When we moved out in October, they kept our $1200 deposit almost in full. We got $23.50 back. We were charged for cleaning that had not been done when we moved in(like blind cleaning and yard work) and for refusing to clean up the mice dropping covered garage items that were covered in mouse feces because they didn't respond to the mouse infestation.

    The warranty is awful once the furniture gets old. I called about a new stain (as covered by the warranty) but the tech who came out deemed that there were accumulated stains ON THE OTHER SIDE of the sofia ( I have a sectional) and this made my warranty invalid. Choose another company next time!

    I returned my daughters winter boots last May because they wore poorly. I was issued credit towards a replacement. I called numerous times over the summer and was told consistently their stock was low because it was the summer...call back in September. I have spoken to Sorel at least 5-6 times since September to get another pair for my daughter. I am told over and over their stock is low and they don't have that boot yet. I called 2 days ago and they the boots would hopefully be in December 1 try back. I called yesterday and was told they never heard this but again stock was low and they were slowly receiving boots. I was offered a pair in my daughters size in another color. Seriously I should be able to get the same or close to the same item. I asked for a manager was put on hold for 10-15 minutes and was then told no managers were available they must be in a meeting. I should hear back from someone soon via email. I received a follow up note stating my call and reason for call and should now hear back today by 12:30. My daughter goes to school in Ohio she simply should not have to wait any longer for these boots. I don't care how they get her a replacement it just should have been done in a more timely manner. Winter will soon be upon us and still no boots. I am so furious and don't know what else to do.

    What Happened

    I have had Republic Wireless for over a year and a half. They always advertised unlimited talk, text, and data. This past February I upgraded my phone to the Moto X they started offering, no problems. But in July I started driving a truck over the road and started using more data. I have received an email warning that I have abnormal data usage and that if it continues my service will be terminated.

    When I inquired to the claim of unlimited data, I got a response back stating you get 5GB of cell data usage per month and if you haven't went over that in the past 6 months, they will give you an additional 5GB. Their claim to what is unlimited is the Wi-Fi data usage. That is misleading because no matter what cell company you have, you automatically have unlimited Wi-Fi data as you are not using the cell providers network to transmit that data.

    UPDATE 09/25/2014: Today I received an email from Republic Wireless telling me because I continue to use data they are terminating my line on 10/03/2014.

    What it would take to make me happy is, Republic sticking to their unlimited data claim (meaning cell data) and not send threatening emails to terminate your service because you have used a lot of data. And not terminatingy service.

I regularly check my checking account, for the past three months they have been taking 20 dollars out of my account WITHOUT my permission. Now I call them and asked them to REFUND at least two months of the 20 dollars of each month they took out which adds up to 40 dollars again WITHOUT my permission.

    What Happened

    I was a uverse customer for 2 years and during the time the tv service was decent most of the time but the internet service was horrible. I run 2 business and work from home so I need fast reliable internet. I paid for their fastest internet available in my area which was only 28 mbps, but if I was lucky I would get 2 mbps! I would call and complain they would send a tech out in 2 to 7 days they would get me around 20 mbps it would last 1 to 2 days if I was lucky and then back to 2 mbps or less one reading was 0.12 mbps! That is slower than dial up in the 90's. So I finally canceled the service to find better more reliable internet! I received my final bill finally after canceling my service a month ago! My bill was over $770! Upon signing up I gave a deposit of $450 and they have not credited that to my final bill. I called to make sure they received all the equipment and find out why the deposit hadn't been credited to my bill. I was told by the agent that they did receive all of the equipment and that the deposit was called an "advanced payment" and it is credited back to the account $5 a month until it is gone! Well, I was only with them for 2 years so that according to my math is only $120, where is the remaining $330. She repeated "it is credited to your account $5 per month." So I asked her if that means if I leave before I get the whole amount if I lose it and they just keep it, she said YES! Seriously?!?! Last time I checked when you take a deposit or "advanced payment" and do not provide a service, product or give a refund that was theft! I was charged over $300 per month for subpar service that they couldn't make work for more than a day or two at a time and was expected to pay even when service was out in my area for extended periods of time. This is by far the worst company I have ever done business with!

    Had a checking and savings account with ING Direct. Capital One 360

    took over a few years ago. Lost my job several months ago and had a minimal

    balance in both accounts. Starting a new job soon and had already given my

    checking information for direct deposit into my account. Checked the Capital

    One 360 app and there was a message to call them. Come to find out that my

    checking account had been closed, without my knowledge, because a company

    kept attempting to bill me for service. I thought that had been stopped.

    So because of someone else's actions, Capital One 360 closed my account

    and told me that I would not be allowed to open a new one.

    I bought a Samsung 60" TV and had a service contract with Best Buys the contract ran out and I was never contacted to renew it because I would have the contract expired 3 days ago and they said I can't renew it because it expired and because of a new policy they started there is no grace period like before and there's nothing they can do (or should I say will do), When I called for a service issue that's when I was informed about the contract expiration they had the wrong E mail and home address and type of TV so there was no way they could have contacted me and no way I would know when the contract would have expired I spoke to at least 8 different people and all they kept saying was about the new policy , Policies are written by people and people can change them or at least make exceptions when a situation like this occurs I could have understood if they had called me or it had been a longer time since it expired but come on 4 days please, I will not be purchasing anything from Best Buys ever again and I bought quite a bit and I will be advising my friends and family and colleagues about this situation I'm sure the more people who know about the way they treat their customers after the sale will be hesitant to deal with them.

    What Happened

    The Uniters furniture warranty is useless. I had called in about spilt milk on one piece of my sectional and pet urine on another piece. The technician came to my house with his phone to take pictures and then used my phone to call the report in to the company. They put me on hold for a bit...enough time for him to leave...and stated the stains where old and dried so they could not work on them. After taking 7 days to get to my house no kidding! One piece I put I'm the garage because after one cat peed on it another one did. They said there were "cumulative" stains and stated if they worked on one stain they would be liable for the couch. I was not worried about the normal wear and tear just the pet stains. Isn't that the point if the warranty to have them be accountable for coming to fix the stains? What I found comical was that it was the girl on the phone telling me this information who had no even laid eyes on the piece. The technician came in my house with only his phone...not a single solution or cleaning product. I asked the phone customer service rep what should I have done differently to have gotten this covered and she was speechless and all she could respond with was a "I am sorry." BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY...DONT BUY THE WARRANTY!

    This apartment complex has a tyrannical property manager named Linda Lieberman. She was constantly pushing letters under my door, phone calls for the slightest infraction and knocking on my door to accuse me of not picking up my dog's feces. After complaining to her boss the National Property Manager Associates the only thing that changed was that she stopped harassing me with letters and popping by my apartment.

    I have noticed this behavior towards me and I believe it is not only because I am disabled but because I am African American. Now after 5 years they have refused to renew my lease without a reason. I know it is because my daughter witnessed the harassment and her treatment of me and demanded it stop. So in retaliation they have decided to terminate my lease and if you saw how old and moldy these apartments are, I think leaving would be best for my health but it should be MY choice-not because I am disabled or because of my color.

    My daughter is visiting me temporarily but decided to stay after I had several trips to the ER and because she has a dog they sent threatening letters and refused to make an exception even though I pay a separate pet fee. Yet, just across the way a woman I know has 2 small dogs and has received no threatening letters and is not being evicted. Perhaps because she is not African American?

    Please pass this letter on and I hope in the very least Linda Lieberman is dismissed but more importantly DO NOT move here. It is a waste of your money, too small, moldy, they change the rules whenever it suits them and the prices rise every year.
