In 2008 global tolerance launched 'Faithbook' on 'Facebook', an online community to combat extremism and encourage multi-faith understanding through social networking, which had thousand's of members up until the page was removed by 'Facebook' in February 2011.

'Faithbook' received international praise from a number of leading media outlets such as; The Times, The Guardian and many more. It was a forum for debate, discussions and dialogue which was not confined to preaching an individuals faith. People would interactively be sharing snippets of their lives, beliefs, experiences and opinions on a daily occasion.

At some stage 'Facebook' changed the settings, which meant that we lost this important page, we have now for sometime been trying to make contact and have had no luck. We are desperate to continue 'Faithbook' in the new settings and are hoping that 'Facebook' can work with us to restore this page.

Facebook has removed the fan page for an application that I built. The location was http://www.facebook.com/PowerThoughts and it was a very active page with 10,000 monthly active page members and over 1 million applications sent.

1,127,387 applications have been sent so far .... so people really do like the application , however it was the fan page that was the most important because of the outstanding conversations that were created with thousands of active users.

Members should at least have the opportunity to decide if the page was relevant or not. It had very high result in multiple reviews.

My Facebook account got blocked for wrong reasons at the beginning of 2010.

I sent an email to disabled@facebook.com when a friend of mine requested this from me. He wanted me to tell them that his account shouldn't be blocked as he was harassed by anti-semitic people reporting him and never did anything blameworthy.

The answer I got was: "We won't be able to reactivate your account. This decision is final." even if my account was not blocked at the time I sent the email! The reasons behind the decision was that I invited too many people to contact a long time before (today there is no reason to complain about this as it is possible to "follow" whoever you want on Facebook like on Twitter) and that I harassed some people (actually two anti-semitic people harassed me and I only fought back).

Since they blocked my account, they didn't answer to me anymore. They left me alone in the dark. Everyone is one Facebook and I wasn't anymore. You can imagine the frustration especially that it happened when I tried to do some good to a friend.

Facebook doesn't take care about its users as it should! Many people would agree with me and I heard so many complaints of people like me whose accounts were blocked for wrong reasons and who weren't able to get them unblocked.
