What Happened
Do not _ever_ use Midas in Santa Monica on 2nd street. I took my vehicle to them for a simple problem: over-heating. They called me less than 24 hours later saying it was ready to be picked up. I was charged over $600 without confirmation. I was on my way home in the car AND IT OVER-HEATED. They refused to pay towing costs when I called them from the side of the road. They also indicated that there will be more charges to fix the problem despite the fact that the problem shouldn't exist because I have already paid them to fix it and THEY DIDN'T DO THEIR JOB.

We encourage Tawnya to reach out to us directly at our Santa Monica location. 310-395-9943 ..but this is the number to our 5th street location.
If this was a complaint received for a 2nd street location, perhaps it wasn't in Santa Monica?

The owner of the franchise just called and stated that he would charge me 600 MORE dollars to fix the over-heating issue. I already paid 8oo dollars (300 for a motor mount and 500 for the over-heating issue that was never resolved). He also asked that I remove this gripe and stated 'social media doesn't bother me or affect my business at all, the only reason I am asking you to remove this is because corporate has asked me to". I should not have to pay any more money. If you are listening corporate, please call me at 325-374-5405 as I am not getting anywhere with the owner of the Midas franchise on 2nd street in Santa Monica.

It is on 5th street by the way - sorry for confusion......but we've had it up to our eyeballs in frustration with MIDAS in SANTA MONICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
